Congressional Candidate Aaron Gies Outlines Priorities Ahead of November Election
Aaron Gies, a former theology professor at St. Bonaventure University, is running for Congress in New York’s 23rd Congressional District after winning the Democratic primary in June. He now faces incumbent Republican Rep. Nick Langworthy in the November election.
SBU-TV Reporter Gavin Hooten sat down with Gies to discuss what inspired his political journey and the issues affecting St. Bonaventure students and the surrounding community, including rising costs, access to health care and funding for rural hospitals.
Gies shares his plans to address these concerns if elected to Congress. Next week, SBU-TV will hear from Rep. Nick Langworthy on how he plans to address the same issues.
